WHAT IF - What If (Japan CD, special edition)

    €18.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

In 1987 singer Tommy Funderburk founded the band What If together with Bob Wilson and Larry Williams. Their selftitled album is what we call nowadays an absolute classic gem. With the help of Mike Landau, Dann Huff, Paulinho DaCosta and Bill Champlin What If created nine westcoast highlights of the first degree Learn More

VALENTI, JOHN - I Won’t Change (Japan CD, special edition)

    €18.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Fans of West Coast AOR were sorely deprived of this, as for 1980/81 Valenti ranked with the best male solo artists of the genre, think David Roberts or John O’ Banion, not to mention powerhouse acts at the time like Toto or Player. Digitally remastered re-issue. Learn More
  3. STRAIGHT LINES - Straight Lines (JAP CD, digitally remastered)

STRAIGHT LINES - Straight Lines (JAP CD, digitally remastered)

    €17.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

There isn't a track going to waste here, although it is clear the band was a bit rough around the edges when compared to the far smoother 'Run For Cover'. This is actually a heavier record, cue the likes of 'Midnight Woman' and its raw 70's hard rock rhythms that mimic Player's 'Danger Zone' album at its hardest. A lovely debut here without a doubt, don't miss it. Learn More
  4. STRAIGHT LINES - Run For Cover (JAP CD, digitally remastered)

STRAIGHT LINES - Run For Cover (JAP CD, digitally remastered)

    €17.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Straight Lines were never over-heavy and the title track is a firm indication of where they were at musically. Nice melodic riffs and vital harmonies with smooth vocals from Sinclair. Great period AOR in the vein of PLAYER's "Spies Of Life". Just a pity that the band split after a lack of interest from overseas buyers. Bob Buckley and David Sinclair went on to form Body Electric with ex Ironhorse/Union man Frank Ludwig. Learn More
  5. ROLIE, GREGG - Gregg Rolie (JAP CD, digitally remastered)

ROLIE, GREGG - Gregg Rolie (JAP CD, digitally remastered)

    €17.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

If you like it the way VAN STEPHENSON or STEVE PERRY did, then you will also dig the solo debut of Gregg Rolie. “Young Love” is a fantastic opener, “Close My Eyes” a great midpaced songt, written by Paul Janz and “I Wanna Go Back” a great version of the well known Eddie Money song. A true AOR classic and utterly essential for for every serious AOR lover. Learn More
  6. ROBERTS, DAVID - The Missing Years +2

ROBERTS, DAVID - The Missing Years +2

    €7.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

I guess these songs were recorded between the late 80’s and the mid-90’s or so. Sure, since these are demos you’ll hear a few performances that could have been done better – but believe me, these moments are not many. All the positive sides about this album easily over-weigh this. Learn More
  7. POCO - Legacy (JAP CD, digitally remastered)

POCO - Legacy (JAP CD, digitally remastered)

    €17.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

After years on the circuit, playing a country tinged West Coast type sound, Poco attempt to poke their nose into the melodic rock camp, and guess what? They do real well. This album 'Legacy' (1989) has a few things in it's favour, namely the production camp of David Cole and Richard Marx and some of the friends who helped out, like Lee Sklar, Gary Mallaber, Jeff Porcaro (RIP), C.J Vanston, Joe Chemay and Richard Marx himself. Peter Beckett continued with a revised line-up and Player recorded what many consider their finest record - 'Spies Of Life'. A great album for anyone into the likes of Toto, Ambrosia, David Roberts and classy Wescoast in general. Digitally remastered. Learn More
  9. PAGES - Future Street (Japan CD, special edition)

The set's a great counterpart to albums by folks like Bobby Caldwell or Gino Vannelli – and titles include "I Do Believe In You", "Future Street", "Who's Right Who's Wrong", "Keep On Movin", "Two People", and "The Sailor's Song". Digitally remastered. Learn More
  10. O'BANION, JOHN - John O'Banion (Japan SHM CD, digitally remastered)
