Quick Overview

Shape Of The New Sun sound is inspired by the Scandinavian Melodic Hard Rock scene from the late '80s / early '90s with a groove from the British hard rock style from the same era. I hear some Thunder on 'Babylon' or 'Don't Let It Fall', a bit ofDying For' akin Jeff Scott Soto's Humanimal, and 'Divine' is in the Bad Habit mould.

SHAPE OF THE NEW SUN (feat. long time LAMBRETTA drummer Tomas Persic) is the latest hot new Swedish hard rock act. Shape Of The New Sun sound is inspired by the Scandinavian Melodic Hard Rock scene from the late '80s / early '90s with a groove from the British hard rock style from the same era. I hear some Thunder on 'Babylon' or 'Don't Let It Fall', a bit of Whitesnake in 'When the Curtain Falls', and title track brings to mind Jagged Edge UK. The rest is clearly Scandi: 'The Pain' has a Damned Nation trademark melody all over, 'Ghost from the Past' and 'Worth Dying For' akin Jeff Scott Soto's Humanimal, and 'Divine' is in the Bad Habit mould. A mature debut from a new band to watch out in the near future. Tracklist: 1. Babylon 2. The Pain 3. Ghost from the Past 4. Worth Dying For 5. Divine 6. Don’t Let It Fall 7. Dying Embers 8. Majestic 9. Give It Up 10. When the Curtain Falls
