  1. POINT BLANK - American Excess (JAP CD, digitally remastered)

POINT BLANK - American Excess (JAP CD, digitally remastered)

    €18.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

"American Excess" (1981) catches POINT BLANK at their most interesting point, as they attempted to ease out of their 70's southern roots and into a more contemporary AOR sound. While the majority of the album is commercial it's noticeable that the band hadn't totally eased out of their Southern years, the album a mixture of both on the whole. Learn More
  2. POINT BLANK - On A Roll (JAP CD, digitally remastered)

POINT BLANK - On A Roll (JAP CD, digitally remastered)

    €18.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

In fact the band were vastly different than on their earlier material, coming at you like a cross between Doc Holliday (circa 'Modern Medicine') and a heap of other eighties heroes like 38 Special, Axe and cohorts. Unfortunately, this was the end of the road for Point Blank, as they broke up not long after. But needless to say, they are a band for which any self respecting melodic rock fan should have some of their material stashed away in their CD collection. Digitally remastered re-issue. Learn More
  3. PRAYING MANTIS - Gravity (digi pack)

PRAYING MANTIS - Gravity (digi pack)

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

British band PRAYING MANTIS - once part of the early NWOBHM movement along with IRON MAIDEN and SAXON - easily manage to stick to their very trademarks without just repeating themselves over and over with album number eleven. “Gravity“ is a great piece of music which again benefits from the recent line-up changes. The first half on the album rocks very much while the second is pretty emotional and intense. Learn More
  4. REFUGE - Solitary Man (digi pack)

REFUGE - Solitary Man (digi pack)

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

The RAGE-line up with Peavy Wagner (v/b), Manni Schmidt (g) and Chris Efthimiades (d), playing live under the name of REFUGE, one of their strongest tracks ever, for a short while now, put out a new album by the name of “Solitary Man“. An album similar sounding to the most melodic period in the career of RAGE, the years 1987 to1993. Really cool trying to sound like back then AND moreover, actually managing to do so. Thanks RAGE, well…REFUGE! Learn More
  5. RIOT V - Armor Of Light + bonus CD (digi pack)

RIOT V - Armor Of Light + bonus CD (digi pack)

    €18.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Finally! Finally a RIOT album with a great and powerful sound. “Armor Of Light“ is the second album of the band with their current line-up including vocalist Todd Michael Hall (ex JACK STARR’S BURNING STARR). RIOT became RIOT V in 2013 and plays typical guitar-driven US metal without much fuzz. Strong tracks in the vein of “End Of The World“ or “Heart Of A Lion“ don’t take prisoners. Just killers, no fillers! Thumbs up! Learn More
  6. RITCHIE BLACKMORE'S RAINBOW - Memories In Rock II (2 CD + DVD)

RITCHIE BLACKMORE'S RAINBOW - Memories In Rock II (2 CD + DVD)

    €18.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Also the setlist is slightly different to the 2016 release by adding more songs from the Joe Lynn Turner era and a better sound qualit. As a bonus there is a brand new studio track called "Waiting For A Sign", but it sounds more like Bad Company as classic Rainbow. Overall better as Volume 1, but by no means an essential purchase. Shipment expenses counts as 2 CDs. Learn More
  7. ROSS THE BOSS - By Blood Sworn +3 (ltd. edition digi pack)

ROSS THE BOSS - By Blood Sworn +3 (ltd. edition digi pack)

    €17.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

“By Blood Sworn“ is nothing but pure heavy metal. If only his former band - the self-proclaimed „Kings Of Metal“ MANOWAR - would record such cool songs today. Let alone the riff-based “We Are The Night“ and the emotional ballad “Faith Of The Fallen“ shine. They are certainly good arguments to dig deeper into this record. And so is the epic “Lilith“ with amazing guitars by the master himself. For sure the best effort by ROSS THE BOSS so far. Learn More
  8. ROX DIAMOND - Let The Music Do The Talkin'

ROX DIAMOND - Let The Music Do The Talkin'

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Almost a decade later the US band is finally back with a new studio album. The music is pure melodic rock heaven with emphasis on melodies, the clever n' memorable choruses and an overall 'blast from the past' sound. Just the production / mix may be a bit dry, but that's just a minor let down. Learn More

RUST'N'RAGE - Tales From The Wonderland

    €15.00

Examples ? "Taking On The Edge" sounds like Vinnie Vincent Invasion meets Slaughter, "Riding On The Storm" could be an amalgam of Mama's Boys or Heavy Pettin circa 1985 or "Lethal Injections Of Love" would perfectly fit PRETTY MAID's "Future World" album. Great stuff from this young Finnish lads, check them out pronto ! Learn More
