Originally formed in the late 80’s, Roxanne garnered commercial success with their 1988 self-titled debut album which was well received with two songs charting on rock radio; “Cherry Bay” and “Sweet Maria”, as well as a cover of Wild Cherry’s “Play That Funky Music” which hit #63 on the Billboard singles charts. We’ve only had to wait 30 years for the release of ‘Radio Silence‘, Roxanne‘s sophomore album. Was it worth the wait you ask? From the first few bars of ‘Someone To Kill‘ it’s obvious that ‘Radio Silence‘ is going to be a bit of a corker. All the elements are there, vocalist Jamie Brown‘s voice is still bang on the money, the band sounding tight as hell and your hand quickly reaches for the volume to crank it up!

Black Paisley made their auspicious debut in 2017 with the well-received "Late Bloomer". The Swedish band found acclaim from reviewers and fans across the European theater, and even the United States were classic AOR melodic rock is pretty much dead and gone." erennials" is a continuation of what made the band's first album a success. Black Paisley simply creates solid and entertaining AOR melodic rock. Not dismissing any player, the strength of Black Paisley is founder, singer, and songwriter Stefan Blomqvist. He simply has a great rock voice. Singing clean and melodic his vocals are strong, passionate, and soulful. And the songs are terrific as well, developed with fine craftsmanship and ear for melody, groove and harmony.

Pretty catchy but also pretty fast at times and harder stuff from the American band around frontman Kendell Bechtel. The first album in almost thirty (!) years should be celebrated by fans of bands like QUEENSRYCHE or METAL CHURCH. Bands that started alongside the band from Seattle, USA. With songs like “Can You Hear Me“, FIFTH ANGEL are still able to sound epic. Welcome back, guys!

Christian Tolle is a German guitarist and song writer. Under the moniker of Christian Tolle Project he is releasing his fifth album, entitled ‘Point Blank’. Guitar, bass and drums are played by Tolle himself. He also handled production duties, resulting in a dynamic and crystal clear sound. And wrote all the music. He also recruited some known names for this album. Vocals are handled by David Reece (Accept, Bangalore Choir) and John Cuijpers (Praying Mantis). On guitar there is Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake, Dio) who plays some solos. Same goes for former U.D.O. guitarist Mathias Dieth. So, we indeed have a project on our hands. This is just pure Classic Rock and both Reece and Cuijpers impress with their vocals.

Italian singer and songwriter Gianluca Firmo was the driving force behind the project ROOM EXPERIENCE (2015), which featured Pink Cream 69 singer David Readman on vocals. Firmo wrote the entire album, which was well received from the press and the fans. Three years later Gianluca Firmo is ready to deliver his first solo album by using his own name and handling for the very first time all lead vocals on his own. With the helpf of his fellow countrymen Davide Barbieri, Mario Percudani and the mighty Paul Laine (DANGER DANGER) on backing vocals you can be sure to get a great slice of classic melodic rock stuff. The vocals of Gianluca Firmo are solid, but he's a better songwriter as a singer !

Kenny Leckremo was the singer for Swedish hotshots  H.E.A.T from 2007 to 2010 and handled the lead vocals on the first two albums "H.E.A.T" (2008) and "Freedom Rock" (2010).Escpecially the first H.E.A.T. album made a huge impact at the melodic rock scene and Kenny Leckremo became a rising star. Out of the blue he left the band in 2010 and just rumours suggested that he's working on new music, but nothing concrete until now. The good news is that Kenny is back with his new band Spectra (feat. ex. H.E.A.T. guitarist Dave Dalone) offering a matured classic rock sound like a mixture between the latest GOTTHARD releases and the DANNY VAUGHN solo stuff. Truly superb stuff from great singer and songwriter.

Symphonic heavy metal with slices of hard rock from Greece. The second album has got a powerful production and guests like Tim “Ripper“ Owens (v, ex JUDAS PRIEST, ex ICED EARTH), Bob Katsionis (keys, FIREWIND), Mark Boals (v, ex YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) are just the topping of the cake here. Strong record for fans of epic movie scores or bands in the vein of NIGHTWISH, RHAPSODY OF FIRE or KAMELOT.

Fans of KISS certainly wait desperately for the new solo effort of the (original) Spaceman because these days there is not much new KISS-related stuff coming up. Also fans of hard rock in general might be interested. Not every song is a killer but “Without You I’m Nothing“ or “Mission To Mars“ for instance really nail it. But there should have been more than just nine songs, especially given that fact that he sings pretty well these days, too.
