Howdy melodic rockers,

I'm still not happy about my US supplier, cause after a long wait he has finally received the Tim Montana CD, but he can't deliver the new Buckcherry CD (and the plan was to get them both in one shipment). As he still don't know when he'll receive the Buckcherry CD we'll just pick up the Tim Montana CD this time.

We also expect a shipment from the UK due next containing the latest bunch of Rock Candy re-issue incl. those 4 Donnie Iris titles "King Cool", "The High And The Mighty", "Fortune 410" and "Back On The Streets". I really hope that they'll ship it the way which I told them, cause last time they didn't and it took 8 weeks until I received the latest parcel. So no quotes in advance from me !

We have also secured a special deal carrying exclusively the new Jakob Samuel CD "CoExist" as a limited run of 500 copies in Europe. We should have stock in about 10 days.

DEVILS IN HEAVEN - Rise
(digitally remastered)

Once more one of these forgotten pearls. Devils In Heaven from Australia, Tasmania to be precise, put out a few singles back in the day and made themselves well-known in the live-circuit but didn’t make it to a full album. The album contains many AOR and melodic treasures from different recording sessions. As bonus you get the two remastered tracks “Ships In The Night“ and “Ain’t A Wonder“ from 1990. Given the sheer quality of the song material that’s really a shame. The question why this superb band didn’t put out a single album can’t be answered, though. Quality couldn’t have been an issue. In addition to that, frontman David Withney lost his singing voice some time ago and drummer Phil Crothers passed away many moons ago. Therefore, “Rise“ is the ultimate legacy of this band. A great legacy!.

KING COMPANY - Trapped

Third album of Finnish outfit KING COMPANY. Again, it’s finest melodic hard rock somewhere between British hard rock in the vein of WHITESNAKE and Finnish bands like BROTHER FIRETRIBE or LEVERAGE. The latter because of the typical Finnish rock keyboard sound foremost. Third output, third singer, though. This time, after an Italian singer, now it’s a Finnish guy by the name of Ilkka Keskitalo and he can sing for sure. “Stephanie“ and “Fair Winds“ offer remarkable hit potential. “Trapped In Heart“ on the other hand is quite faster. And the last song “Stars Will Lead The Way“ will please the romantics out there for sure. Great album!

The Montana native blends Country with rock electric guitar and influences from the West to deliver a collection of 12 songs that embraces hard and fast-living, the American experience and the blue-collar way. The music is unapologetic, relatable and raw and embraces the everyman and folks who ain’t afraid to do the dirty work. The album title is a nod to the hard road Montana had to take to arrive at this moment and how as improbable as his ambitions may have seemed, he overcame his struggles and all of the odds—and he did it his own way. Montana has an unmatched magnetism that has made him fast friends from people from all walks of life including rock legends, tribesman, rappers, CEOs, NFL players and everybody in between.

SOLDIER - My Window (digitally remastered)

This album really bridges the gap between Chris Boudreaux's projects; "The Take" which was a very pop/AOR band with fun catch songs and his band "Boudreaux" which was a melodic hard rock/hair metal band with attitude and edge. Soldier will appeal to the AOR fans as well as the hair metal fans as it really does fit between the two genres. Soldier feat. members of Palace, Bad Boys, Ransom, Rocknee, The Take and Boudreaux. Initially released only on cassette way back in 1986 as a 6 tracker this re-issue contains 6 more tracks which were recorded in 1995. Mega rare on cassette this album gives classic 80s AOR fans a run for their money.

EXPOSURE - Matter Of Time

Here’s another obscure re-issue from Metallic Blue records featuring Utah based female-fronted Exposure, who deliver a poppy brand of AOR. This reissue is made up of two sessions. The first half of these songs came from Exposure's private cassette-only 5-track EP 'Matter Of Time' released in 1985 on Aircastle Records. Track 6 'Take Me Away' was an additional track, the remaining tracks 7-10 originally came out in 1983 when the band were known as Nightlife. This band was going to be a very keyboard heavy synth-AOR band with a focus on radio friendly songs – not that far away from the pomp of EVEREST, ZON and SAGA meets the poppy overtones of PAT BENATAR and QUARTERFLASH.

SOCIAL DISORDER - Love 2 Be Hated

SOCIAL DISORDER is a Swedish hard rock outfit. Although the band’s name and artwork might be a bit misleading, “Love 2 Be Hated“ is full of finest hard and classic rock. Anders “LA“ Rönnblom (g, KILLER BEES, X-ROMANCE) has a great new band together. Pretty seventies sounding and equipped with plenty of really cool songs, this debut might be one of the surprises of the relatively young year so far. Thumbs up!

FARGO - Strangers D'Amour (digi pack)

Hanover / Germany-based hard rock band FARGO around founder and bass-player Peter Knorn please their fans with their sixth album in total and the follow-up to the comeback „Constellation“ (2018). Style-wise reminiscent of ELOY or JANE at times and equipped with cool melodies and lots of groove allover as tracks like „Closer To The Sun“, „Law Of The Jungle“ or „No Reason To Cry“ easily prove. Timeless music with an authentic production!
