Believe it or not, W.E.T. already puts out their fourth record already. You get strong melodies, fascinating vocals and more and versatile guitars than ever before. “Retransmission“ rocks. One of the really reliable projects out there. Hard Rock from the island of Malta. “Deep Within“ contains influences from like AC/DC, BLACK CROWES, GREAT WHITE up tp even THE DARKNESS. Fronter Chris Portelli has got kind of an unique voice which you either love or not. A record that is simply fun. 3. TWENTY TWENTY - Twenty Twenty (digitally remastered)

TWENTY TWENTY - Twenty Twenty (digitally remastered)

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

TWENTY TWENTY was a band from the mid 80s CCM field that somehow managed to be appreciated by secular listeners. Twenty Twenty's self-titled debut from 1985 was produced by White Heart's Billy Smiley, so expect a pristine sound. The band mixed an interesting blend of pomp AOR with cool new wave melodies, all wrapped by a very Eighties arsenal of keyboards, synthesizers, synclavier and electronic drums. Some tracks come out pretty Hi-Tech but with substance. There's a really fine guitar work by Roscoe Meek, especially creating a sustained, clean rythmic riffs, and we have the excellent vocalist Ron Collins who released a stupendous AOR solo album in the Nineties. First time ever on CD - A MUST HAVE!! Learn More
  4. TWENTY TWENTY - Altered (digitally remastered)

TWENTY TWENTY - Altered (digitally remastered)

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Two yeas after their critically acclaimed debut, the band changed their name to 20/Twenty and slighlty their sound as well. "Altered", appeared in 1987 delivered a more straight AOR style and 'regular' instrumentation. Almost the complete White Heart line up also play here as guests. The stylings on this new album are more mature with many tracks bringing to my mind Jay Graydon's Planet 3 meets Allies, that say a mix of poppy AOR with delicate melodies and a touch of West Coast. The Hi-Tech from the debut is still present in a couple of tracks as well as the synth effects, but mostly this second album is a smooth and classic AOR affair. First time ever on CD - don't miss this cracker ! Learn More

  6. TUPLE - Welcome To Hell

    TUPLE - Welcome To Hell

    €13.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

TUPLE is Tommi „Tuple“ Salmela (v, TAROT, LAZY BONES). Keyboard-driven melodic hardrock with elements of glam and certain parallels to WIG WAM, THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA or even RETURN. But this guy from Finland is able to push the limits of the genres aside here and there a little bit. Examples would be the popish “Hold On To Me“, the duet “Survive“ with BATTLE BEAST frontwoman Noora Louhima or the rock club anthem “Pride“, which will make you dance. The songs are loosely connected lyric-wise and take the listener on a trip to Aspen, Colorado in the 18th century. TUPLE has absolutely come to stay and “Welcome to Hell“ is rather heavenly than hellish… Learn More

It didn’t happened that often that a band released two classic album within only one year, but TREAT were undoubtful one of them. Their second strike “The Pleasure Principle” and the follow up “Dreamhunter” were both phenomenal AOR albums full of killer tunes and both CDs were hard to find at the last few years, so this official reissues should please a lot of AOR maniacs. “The Pleasure Principle” (1986) contains some of the strongest Euro AOR tunes ever which could be easily described as a mix of 80s DOKKEN (“Under Lock And Key” era) and the majestic keys and hooklines out of the EUROPE master piece “The Final Countdown” – the ultimate Scandi AOR sound !! TREAT - Scratch And Bite (JAP CD)

Treat started life in 1982 as rock band with Swedish lyrics until drummer Mats “Dalton” Dahl joyned them in 1983. They recorded a demo for Polygram, which were looking for a Swedish hard rock band as a counterpart to Europe and signed them in 1984. One year later “Scratch And Bite” got released in 1985 and carried such great Scandi AOR tunes like “Scracth And Bite”, “Get You On The Run”, “Hidin’” or the killer ballad “We Are One”, which tuned out not as strong as their following classics “The Pleasure Principle” and “Dreamhunter”, but already proved the great potential of the band. Strictly limited Japanese re-issue and the sound quality is simply stunning. Learn More
