    €15.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

The US label Kivel Records had released some outstanding melodic rock releases over the years (like ADRIAN GALE, GOODBYE THRILL or FAITH CIRCUS) and with the US five piece FARCRY they had the next clear winner on offer. Backed by a crisp production their debut “High Gear” (2009) combines the finest moments from FIREHOUSE, early BON JOVI, the HAREM SCAREM debut and ADRIAN GALE into a superb melodic rock cocktail, which no serious melodic rock lover can’t resist. Killer tunes such as “Love Won’t Wait”, “Fine Line” or the mega ballad “Heaven” are just prime examples for an oustanding debut with plenty of other great tunes on offer. Killer stuff, don't miss it ! Learn More

FIREHOUSE - Firehouse +8 (2 CDs, digitally remastered)

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

The music here is all tried and true Glam Metal pretty much 100% - following the formula of the acts that had come before (think Skid Row, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi and Motley Crue to name a few) and there is also a little bit of AOR to be had here. Possibly one of the greatest debuts of all time they won a Grammy in 1992 by chosen over Nirvana and Alice In Chains!! Bad Reputation re-issue. Learn More

FLESH & BLOOD - Blues For Daze +2 (digitally remastered)

    €15.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

FLESH & BLOOD was a short-lived but amazing super-group put together by Mark Mangold after his 3 AOR albums with Drive She Said, looking for a more rocking, bluesy-based sound. Alongside Mark Mangold on keyboards there’s the awesome Danny Vaughn (Tyketto) on vocals, Al Pitrelli (Savatage, Joe Lynn Turner) on guitar, Chuck Bonfante (Saraya, Drive She Said) on drums and Mitch DeStefano on bass. “Blues For Daze” is indeed a bluesy-based hard rock / classic rock affair mixing upbeat rockers and atmospheric midtempo / ballads with more than a hint of AOR / Melodic Rock. Danny Vaughn is simply the star of the show as his vocal performance is amazing, Bad Reputations re-issue, digitally remastered. Learn More
  4. FM - Tough It Out Live (2 CDs)

FM - Tough It Out Live (2 CDs)

    €16.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

FM put out a pure milestone in melodic rock in 1989 whose anniversary was celebrated on their 2019 tour and put out as a live document now. The full album performance is enriched by some other classics as well as some cherry-picked tracks like “Hollow“ or “Breathe Fire“ that are rarely performed live making this double-decker with its great and balanced sound a really good choice both for FM maniacs and newbies. Frontman Steve Overland still sets the pace vocally in the given genre. Learn More
  5. FRAZIER, ROB - Cut It Away (digitally remastered)

FRAZIER, ROB - Cut It Away (digitally remastered)

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Rob Frazier has collaborated with numerous artists in and outside the contemporary Christian music scene, including co-writing the 1982 Kansas hit “Play the Game Tonight”. In 1979 he joined the Christian rock group Petra, where he played the keyboards and guitar while trading lead vocal duties with Greg X. Volz on the album "Washes Whiter Than". He only did one album with Petra but he caught the attention of Light Records but it took awhile to put out his first solo album "Cut It Away" (1984). His unique sound is part John Cougar Mellencamp, part Hooters, and a good dose of classic mid 80s AOR, off course. Digitally remastered re-issue, first time ever on CD. Learn More
  6. FRAZIER, ROB - This Town (digitally remastered)

FRAZIER, ROB - This Town (digitally remastered)

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Singer. Songwriter. Recording Artist. Worship Leader. Pastor. Speaker. How does all that fit together in one life? It’s not easy but Rob Frazier feels a calling to all of these roles and attempts to make room for them all. Rob Frazier enjoyed a close relationship with Steve Camp for nearly two decades, co-writing many of the songs on his last 11 albums as well as songs for other artists including Margaret Becker, Rick Cua, the classic-rock band KANSAS, Kenny Marks, Geoff Moore and the Distance. His second solo release "This Town" (1986) saw him continuing his classic mid west flavored sound like John Kilzer / The Hooters with a strong AOR vibe. Digitally remastered re-issue, first time ever on CD. Learn More
  7. GARIES, JOHN ALLAN - It's Your Choice (digitally remastered)

GARIES, JOHN ALLAN - It's Your Choice (digitally remastered)

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

If you remember JAG – an AOR/Hard Rock band that put out three later style White Heart-ish albums in the 90s – then you will recognize this guy’s voice. Garies is where JAG got its name – his initials. He also mentions recording this album in 1986, but said it is best left forgotten. I’m not sure about that – it’s just that this is less heavy than anything JAG did. Its starts off almost lounge music sounding, but the guitars do kick in. It’s just really caught in the early 80s sound, even though it was recorded in the late 80s. No band members are listed, so it is either Garies doing all the instruments himself, or uncredited musicians adding other instruments. First time ever (officially) on CD, digitally remastered re-issue. Learn More
  8. GATHERING OF KINGS - Discovery

    GATHERING OF KINGS - Discovery

    €17.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

“Discovery“, the highly anticipated second album of the Swedish Allstar Project, easily manages to meet expectations. It’s a brilliant hybrid of bands like ECLIPSE or H.E.A.T. and BOSTON and MAGNUM. Using different vocalists - like in AVANTASIA - works perfectly. Songs like “Lorelei“, “Heaven On The Run“ or “Moonlight“ will leave you speechless. The fact that the songs are basically written by Victor Olsson (SAFFIRE) works very positively in terms of tightness of the material. Learn More

GLASGOW - Zero Four One +1 (digitally remastered)

    €13.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Another great rerelease comes your way. Scottish band GLASGOW from, well, Glasgow, with unfortunately their only full release. For whatever reason the band didn’t make it back in the day although the songs on their 1987 debut are excellent. Essential stuff for lovers of the likes of FM, FORTUNE or ICON. It’s keyboard-driven AOR and hard rock with great vocals (Mick Boyle). Comes with a bonus cut from the original sessions. Don Airey, today in DEEP PURPLE, guests on keyboards. One of the highlights on “Zero Four One“ is the energetic CHRIS THOMPSON cover “Secrets In The Dark“. Limited to 500 copies, digitally remastered and incl. liner notes by Dave Reynolds - so you better be quick! Learn More
