  1. HEART HEALER - The Metal Opera

HEART HEALER - The Metal Opera

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

HEART HEALER, a new project initiated by Frontiers Music centered around Magnus Karlsson (g, PRIMAL FEAR) offers plenty of thrilling moments and countless cool melodies. Certainly acts in the vein of AVANTASIA, AINA or KISKE/SOMERVILLE seem to be some kind of blueprints here. Seven different female voices bring the material to life and they are absolutely nailing it. From sugarsweet to epic orchestral over to cracking rockers, they definitely know their style. Great stuff! Learn More
  2. HEAVY BONES - Heavy Bones (digitally remastered)

HEAVY BONES - Heavy Bones (digitally remastered)

    €15.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Heavy Bones was an early 90s semi-supergroup. Containing Joel Ellis on vocals(ex-Cats In Boots), Frankie Banali on drums(ex-just about everyone in the 80s, and rounding it out with guitar hero Gary Hoey and bassist Rex Tenison. The most misleading thing about Heavy Bones is their name. Maybe if they had a better band name, and better cover artwork, they would have been a little more well received. Heavy Bones released a pretty solid melodic hard rock record considering what was relevant at the time. There are some real gems here with songs like "4 A.M. T.M.," "Where The Livin' Is Easy," and "Summers In The Rain" are all great and easily the highlights. Digitally remastered re-issue from Bad Reputation records. Learn More

The best of three decades of GARY HUGHES’ solo records on a double CD. English singer and frontman of TEN with a very charismatic voice obviously seem to have been under the radar for whatever reason for the most part. It’s epic, majestic hard rock British style. Pretty interesting are some tracks only available so far on a Japanese EP called “In Your Eyes“. A cool retrospective and also a great entry into the world of GARY HUGHES. Learn More

Englishman GARY HUGHES, probably best known as frontman of TEN with his first solo effort in ten almost years. Stylistic innovations can’t be found but nobody would expect that, for sure. It’s exactly this rather majestic sound with various AOR elements incorporated which fans certainly look for. With a little help by some TEN bandmates like Dann Rosingana (g) ten fresh songs came into being which will stand the test of time. Learn More
  5. ICON - Icon (JAP CD)

    ICON - Icon (JAP CD)

    €18.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Originally known as Schoolboys, Icon was formed in 1981 in Phoenix, Arizona by high school friends Dan Wexler (guitar), Stephen Clifford (vocals) and Tracy Wallach (bass). They were joined by future King Kobra guitarist David Henzerling and John Covington (drums). In 1983, the band was signed to Capitol Records, and changed its name to Icon. While the band opted for big hair and spandex image, the sound of their debut ‘Icon’ (1984) is quite heavy, very melodic and catchy, but edgy - like a mixture between Dokken, Lizzy Borden and Quiet Riot. “Icon” had all the necessary elements to become a big success back in 1984..Strictly limited Japanese re-issue with a superb sound quality. 6. ICON - Night Of The Crime (JAP CD)

ICON - Night Of The Crime (JAP CD)

    €18.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

ICON’s “Night Of The Crime” (1985) is rated by many people as one of the best melodic rock recordings ever! I bet you’d agree, if you listen to killer tracks like the opening ”Naked Eyes” and “Missing” with their great hooklines. But that’s not all! I can’t find any weak track on the whole album: “Danger Calling”, the guitar driven “Out For Blood” or the stadium rocker “Raise The Hammer” are excellent songs with fine melodies and amazing guitar work. I’m just wondering why the band didn’t get as much success as DOKKEN or BON JOVI - that's indeed the crime of the century ! Strictly limited Japanese re-issue with a terrific sound quality - don't miss this mega classic AOR monster album ! Learn More

  9. INGLORIOUS - We Will Ride

    INGLORIOUS - We Will Ride

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Nathan James (v) is one of the best hard rock vocalists out there these days, no discussion about that. His band INGLORIOUS on the other hand, had to deal with lots of line-up turbulences and suffered a bit from a lack of cool songwriting but obviously this changed for good with the new effort. “We Will Ride“ is by far the best output of the band from England. Classic hard rock with lots of emotions and sheer energy. Learn More
