  1. PLAYER - Room With A View (JAP CD)

PLAYER - Room With A View (JAP CD)

    €18.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

After the release of their second album "Danger Zone" (1978) singer / guitarist and founding member J.C. Crowley left the band. New members Miles Joseph (vocals, guitar) and Gabriel Katona (keyboards, ex-Rare Earth) joined Beckett, Moss and Friesen in the studio for the group's third album, "Room With a View" (April 1980), produced by Peter Beckett with Tony Peluso. Pretty similar in style to "Danger Zone" the album follows the paths of the huge successful west coast AOR style from Toto, Chicago and cohorts, but the album failed in terms of sales and Ron Moss left the band becoming an actor in the TV series "The Bold and the beautiful". Strictly limited Japanese re-issue with a superb sound quality. Learn More
  2. TWENTY TWENTY - Twenty Twenty (digitally remastered)

TWENTY TWENTY - Twenty Twenty (digitally remastered)

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

TWENTY TWENTY was a band from the mid 80s CCM field that somehow managed to be appreciated by secular listeners. Twenty Twenty's self-titled debut from 1985 was produced by White Heart's Billy Smiley, so expect a pristine sound. The band mixed an interesting blend of pomp AOR with cool new wave melodies, all wrapped by a very Eighties arsenal of keyboards, synthesizers, synclavier and electronic drums. Some tracks come out pretty Hi-Tech but with substance. There's a really fine guitar work by Roscoe Meek, especially creating a sustained, clean rythmic riffs, and we have the excellent vocalist Ron Collins who released a stupendous AOR solo album in the Nineties. First time ever on CD - A MUST HAVE!! Learn More
  3. PLAYER - Danger Zone (JAP CD)

PLAYER - Danger Zone (JAP CD)

    €18.50

Player epitomized what mainstream soft pop/rock was all about in the late ‘70s – and that was the sound of Los Angeles. The band’s self-titled debut followed through on the promise of their debut hit single, “Baby Come Back". This was laid-back but engaging, and the band displayed some serious musical chops, occasionally sounding like a sweet, streamlined Steely Dan. Some of the same characteristics were evident on their next record, "Danger Zone" (1978), but as that title illustrates, Player is playing harder this time around. Pretty close to what Ambrosia was doing around the same time and highlighted by the singles “Prisoner Of Your Love” and “Silver Lining”. Strictly limited Japanese re-issue with a superb sound quality. Learn More
  4. ADRIAN GALE - Crunch

    ADRIAN GALE - Crunch

    €15.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

The mighty were ADRIAN GALE one of the strongest US Melodic Rock bands of the new millenium. Their previous album “Re-Program” was a real killer and the same applies to the follow up “Crunch” (2004). Even though the album rocks not as straight forward as its predecessor, it features numerous great tracks in the vein of DANGER DANGER and JAGGED EDGE. My faves are the varied title track, the ass-kicking up-tempo anthem “Faith”, the beautiful Rock ballad “Without A Moment's Notice”, the colourful “Long Gone” and the heavily rocking mid-tempo tune “The Thin Line”. The only weak point is the a bit unnecessary instrumental “Question”. However, both thumbs up for another great album! Learn More
  5. ICON - Night Of The Crime (JAP CD)

ICON - Night Of The Crime (JAP CD)

    €18.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

ICON’s “Night Of The Crime” (1985) is rated by many people as one of the best melodic rock recordings ever! I bet you’d agree, if you listen to killer tracks like the opening ”Naked Eyes” and “Missing” with their great hooklines. But that’s not all! I can’t find any weak track on the whole album: “Danger Calling”, the guitar driven “Out For Blood” or the stadium rocker “Raise The Hammer” are excellent songs with fine melodies and amazing guitar work. I’m just wondering why the band didn’t get as much success as DOKKEN or BON JOVI - that's indeed the crime of the century ! Strictly limited Japanese re-issue with a terrific sound quality - don't miss this mega classic AOR monster album ! Learn More
  6. WALK THE WALK - Walk The Walk

WALK THE WALK - Walk The Walk

    €13.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

The debut of the American band is great stuff for lovers of the eighties and bands like DANGER DANGER, DEF LEPPARD, MÖTLEY CRÜE or BON JOVI. Check out the energetic “Running From You“ and the very much classic BON JOVI-sounding “Find The Light“. Also, the slightly sleazy “Two Miles To Go“ is pretty cool. “Walk The Walk“ is one of THE surprises of the year so far. Learn More
  7. LION - Dangerous Attraction (digitally remastered)

LION - Dangerous Attraction (digitally remastered)

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

LION was the band who performed the theme song for the big screen animated Transformers movie. The band, which featured guitarist Doug Aldrich (who would later join Dio and Whitesnake) and Kal Swan (of Tytan), straddled the line between hard rock and US metal, and had a sound similar to Dokken, Hurricane, Leatherwolf and Kick Axe. Doug Aldrich’s guitar work is just smokin’ here, and Kal Swan is a massive presence on vocals. The songs are all hard-hitting but very melodic. Fans of the ‘80s hard rock and US 80s metal scene should definitely have some Lion on their collections, and "Dangerous Attraction" is a great place to start, especially now that it has been remastered. Rock Candy re-issue. Learn More

  9. FM - Tough It Out Live (2 CDs)

FM - Tough It Out Live (2 CDs)

    €16.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

FM put out a pure milestone in melodic rock in 1989 whose anniversary was celebrated on their 2019 tour and put out as a live document now. The full album performance is enriched by some other classics as well as some cherry-picked tracks like “Hollow“ or “Breathe Fire“ that are rarely performed live making this double-decker with its great and balanced sound a really good choice both for FM maniacs and newbies. Frontman Steve Overland still sets the pace vocally in the given genre. Learn More
