In 1986 Lion released a 6 track EP "Power Love" in Japan only (which is enclosed here as a bonus), followed by their debut "Dangerous Attraction" (1987). "Trouble In Angel City" (1989) was their final release - a superb slice of classic US hard rock from start to finish and one of the strongest releases of 1989. Digitally remastered re-issue from Bad Reputation. Learn More
  2. LION - Dangerous Attraction (digitally remastered)

LION - Dangerous Attraction (digitally remastered)

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

LION was the band who performed the theme song for the big screen animated Transformers movie. The band, which featured guitarist Doug Aldrich (who would later join Dio and Whitesnake) and Kal Swan (of Tytan), straddled the line between hard rock and US metal, and had a sound similar to Dokken, Hurricane, Leatherwolf and Kick Axe. Doug Aldrich’s guitar work is just smokin’ here, and Kal Swan is a massive presence on vocals. The songs are all hard-hitting but very melodic. Fans of the ‘80s hard rock and US 80s metal scene should definitely have some Lion on their collections, and "Dangerous Attraction" is a great place to start, especially now that it has been remastered. Rock Candy re-issue. Learn More
  3. AOR - The Best Of Paul Sabu

AOR - The Best Of Paul Sabu

    €15.00

Since his meeting in 2012 with Frédéric Slama from AOR, working together on the 1st Chasing Violets album "Outside Heaven", a real friendship has emerged and Paul Sabu was part of almost all the AOR albums released since then. "The Best Of Paul Sabu" features all the songs from that collaboration since that time. The album offers 15 tracks, some ultra rare only found on the AOR Japanese pressings, others as bonus tracks from the 2 Chasing Violets albums + 2 brand new tracks recorded specially for this project. Along Paul Sabu you will find talented musicians such as Tommy Denander (Alice Cooper, Steve Walsh), Linkan Andersson (Zoodrive), & Pete Newdeck (Eden's Curse). Learn More
  4. FM - Tough It Out Live (2 CDs)

FM - Tough It Out Live (2 CDs)

    €16.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

FM put out a pure milestone in melodic rock in 1989 whose anniversary was celebrated on their 2019 tour and put out as a live document now. The full album performance is enriched by some other classics as well as some cherry-picked tracks like “Hollow“ or “Breathe Fire“ that are rarely performed live making this double-decker with its great and balanced sound a really good choice both for FM maniacs and newbies. Frontman Steve Overland still sets the pace vocally in the given genre. Learn More
  5. GUNNER - Back 4 More

    GUNNER - Back 4 More

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Hailing for Buenos Aires, Argentina, Gunner formed in 2003. Back then they were known as Gunner Sixx. They have released two ’80s inspired albums; 2013’s "Keep Fighting" and 2016’s "All Access". Gunner definitely have the ’80s look and presentation going for them. From their aged album cover to their tight pants and long teased hair. As far as the music goes, they are far from the overly-produced anthems and ballads of the ’80. The music on "Back 4 More" is reminiscent of old ’80s arcade games and ’80s movie soundtracks. However, it would be sounds from the off-brand video games and B-Movie, maybe C-Movie soundtracks. There are certainly signs on this album that Gunner can do better. Learn More
  6. ICON - Night Of The Crime (JAP CD)

ICON - Night Of The Crime (JAP CD)

    €18.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

ICON’s “Night Of The Crime” (1985) is rated by many people as one of the best melodic rock recordings ever! I bet you’d agree, if you listen to killer tracks like the opening ”Naked Eyes” and “Missing” with their great hooklines. But that’s not all! I can’t find any weak track on the whole album: “Danger Calling”, the guitar driven “Out For Blood” or the stadium rocker “Raise The Hammer” are excellent songs with fine melodies and amazing guitar work. I’m just wondering why the band didn’t get as much success as DOKKEN or BON JOVI - that's indeed the crime of the century ! Strictly limited Japanese re-issue with a terrific sound quality - don't miss this mega classic AOR monster album ! Learn More
  7. WALK THE WALK - Walk The Walk

WALK THE WALK - Walk The Walk

    €13.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

The debut of the American band is great stuff for lovers of the eighties and bands like DANGER DANGER, DEF LEPPARD, MÖTLEY CRÜE or BON JOVI. Check out the energetic “Running From You“ and the very much classic BON JOVI-sounding “Find The Light“. Also, the slightly sleazy “Two Miles To Go“ is pretty cool. “Walk The Walk“ is one of THE surprises of the year so far. Learn More
  8. SARAYA - Saraya +4 (digitally remastered)

SARAYA - Saraya +4 (digitally remastered)

    €15.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Once known as "Alsace Lorraine", the New Jersey based Saraya was groomed by Polygram to be the next Bon Jovi. Unfortunately, Saraya never achieved that critical success, and the band faded into rock & roll obscurity fairly quickly after just releasing two albums. Musically, Saraya had a straight-forward hard rock style coupled with heavy metal riffs and passionate singing that made the band fit in well in the late 80s hair metal scene. While they lacked the punch of many of the heavier hair metal acts of the day. The group was influenced by the female-powered hard rock of Pat Benatar, Heart or Witness with traces of Danger Danger / early Bon Jovi. Digitally remastered re-issue from Bad Reputation records. 9. ADRIAN GALE - Crunch

    ADRIAN GALE - Crunch

    €15.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

The mighty were ADRIAN GALE one of the strongest US Melodic Rock bands of the new millenium. Their previous album “Re-Program” was a real killer and the same applies to the follow up “Crunch” (2004). Even though the album rocks not as straight forward as its predecessor, it features numerous great tracks in the vein of DANGER DANGER and JAGGED EDGE. My faves are the varied title track, the ass-kicking up-tempo anthem “Faith”, the beautiful Rock ballad “Without A Moment's Notice”, the colourful “Long Gone” and the heavily rocking mid-tempo tune “The Thin Line”. The only weak point is the a bit unnecessary instrumental “Question”. However, both thumbs up for another great album! Learn More
  10. PLAYER - Danger Zone (JAP CD)

PLAYER - Danger Zone (JAP CD)

    €18.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Player epitomized what mainstream soft pop/rock was all about in the late ‘70s – and that was the sound of Los Angeles. The band’s self-titled debut followed through on the promise of their debut hit single, “Baby Come Back". This was laid-back but engaging, and the band displayed some serious musical chops, occasionally sounding like a sweet, streamlined Steely Dan. Some of the same characteristics were evident on their next record, "Danger Zone" (1978), but as that title illustrates, Player is playing harder this time around. Pretty close to what Ambrosia was doing around the same time and highlighted by the singles “Prisoner Of Your Love” and “Silver Lining”. Strictly limited Japanese re-issue with a superb sound quality. Learn More
