  1. 5TH MACHINE - Back In Time

5TH MACHINE - Back In Time

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

The total sound on ‘Back In Time’ is pretty acceptable but that also puts forward the big problem of the record as well. Singer Fabio Cabral is sounding quite dull and at stages extremely predictable. Overall "BIT" has a few acceptable moments and tracks but in general it seems to me that these boys still have got a lot of homework to do. Learn More
  2. ADELLAIDE - New Horizons

    ADELLAIDE - New Horizons

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Adellaide really reach ‘New Horizons’ with this new album, their best work to date in the vein of acts like Lionville, Care Of Night or Theander Expression. You can’t miss ‘New Horizons’, a terrific slice of AOR / Melodic Rock of the highest order. Learn More
  3. AFFÄIRE - Less Ain't More

    AFFÄIRE - Less Ain't More

    €15.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

All songs on this album drive the rhythm with a cowbell, in a true American sleazy / hair metal fashion circa 1987. Opener 'Paradise Café' is a pure rock n’ roll fun track with some early Great White meets Def Leppard '81 on it, 'Girls Nite Out' invites you to a party with its catchy chorus, while 'Nasty but True' brings to my mind underrated Americans Black N Blue. Very well produced with an '80s feel - at the same time current and updated - good stuff for hair metal fans! Learn More
  4. AGE OF REFLECTION - A New Dawn

AGE OF REFLECTION - A New Dawn

    €9.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

The second album of the Swedish outfit is a high flyer by all means. “A New Dawn“ is finest melodic rock/ AOR showcasing superb songwriting, a very powerful production and with Lars Nygren a frontman with an amazing range who made remarkable steps forward compared to the 2017 debut “In The Heat Of The Night“ which was a great album, too, to get it straight. 5. ALLEN/OLZON - Worlds Apart

    ALLEN/OLZON - Worlds Apart

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

If you love ALLEN/LANDE’s first three albums, but also DELAIN, WITHIN TEMPTATION, NIGHTWISH, and the like (but with a slightly heavier edge), then this is simply going to be a strong contender for album of the year. Anette Olzon (ALYSON AVENUE, ex NIGHTWISH) und Russel ALLEN (SYMPHONY X) deliver stellar vocals whereas the songwriting goes back to Magnus Karlsson (g, PRIMAL FEAR). A record like a thunderstorm! 6. AOR - Heavenly Demos

    AOR - Heavenly Demos

    €15.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

As the album title states, these are songs pre-production demos of tracks already known but featuring different vocalists, mix, and some of them are unreleased. Curiously, some of these demo versions are better than the ones finally appeared on the different AOR official releases. Learn More
  7. ARCANA KINGS - Lions As Ravens (digi pack)

ARCANA KINGS - Lions As Ravens (digi pack)

    €15.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Canadian act ARCANA KINGS mixes up influences from AC/DC to FOO FIGHTERS as well as BIG COUNTRY to THE CLASH spiced with a bagpipe here and there. A cool track like “Friend Of Mine“ or the initially quiet and somehow awkward “Headful Of Devil“ with a good portion of MIDNIGHT OIL. Stadium rock in a different way, but certainly not a mainstream release! They did a really good job on the SLADE cover “Run Away“. Learn More
  8. ARCTIC RAIN - The One

    ARCTIC RAIN - The One

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

ARCTIC RAIN from Sweden, a new name to the scene, play pure AOR. They do so in a fresh manner and sound contemporary for the most part. And they do not have to hide behind acts like WORK OF ART, GATHERING OF KINGS, ONE DESIRE, LIONVILLE or even ECLIPSE. Massive keyboards, highly melodic guitars and a really strong voice (Tobias Jonsson) make “The One“ an absolute highlight of the year so far. Great debut! Both thumbs up here! Learn More
  9. ARKADO - Never Say Never

    ARKADO - Never Say Never

    €13.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

“Never Say Never“ is great stuff for fans of ROULETTE, SAPPHIRE EYES or AGE OF REFLECTION, too. An acoustic version of the title track ends the album in a very high manner. Learn More
  10. ATLAS - In Pursuit Of Memory

ATLAS - In Pursuit Of Memory

    €2.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Mostly pretty AOR and never too sophisticated when it gets progressive, “In Pursuit Of Memory“ offers versatile songwriting. Listening to “Flesh And Blood“ or “Supernova“ alone will easily convince you to dive into the world of ATLAS. That’s exactly how contemporary AOR in the vein of W.E.T. should sound like. Guest vocals by Sam Millar (BIGFOOT). ATLAS: Definitely a band to remember! Learn More
