ART OF ILLUSION is a collaboration of the two Swedes Anders Rydholm (g/b/keys, GRAND ILLUSION, CODE) and Lars Säfsund (v, WORK OF ART, LIONVILLE, ENBOUND). Perfect stuff for fans of LAST AUTUMN’S DREAM, LIONVILLE, ART NATION and CWF and from WORK OF ART and GRAND ILLUSION foremost, of course. “X Marks The Spot“ definitely is one early highlight of the year. 2. ATLAS - Parallel Love

    ATLAS - Parallel Love

    €13.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Album number two by British melodic rock outfit offering progressive bits and pieces at times, too. “Parallel Love“ deals with various relationships of different kinds, although not being a true concept album. ATLAS offer a reasonable amount of heavy guitars, as well huge keyboards and a singer (Craig Wells) who really rocks and brings a little bit of crispiness into play. Learn More
  3. AUTUMN'S CHILD - Autumn's Child

    AUTUMN'S CHILD - Autumn's Child

    €9.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

The Swedes - apart from Erlandsson there are Jona Tee (keys, H.E.A.T.), Robban Bäck (d, ex ECLIPSE, MUSTACH), Pontus Åkesson (g, SAFARI MOON) and Claes Andreasson (g, HEARTBREAK RADIO) simply rock. Tracks like “Face The Music“ or “Heaven Knows Your Name“ need to be played live. Caught somewhere between hard rock, AOR and pop stylistically, this debut offers a powerful and versatile production. Strong record! Learn More
  4. AUTUMN'S CHILD - Angel's Gate

    AUTUMN'S CHILD - Angel's Gate

    €13.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

The second album again offers melodic rock with bits and pieces of pop, lots of pathos and emotional ballads full of drama. “A Tear From The Sky“ and “Only Love Can Save The World“ are big time songs as well as the quicker “Aquarius Sky“. We don’t have to mention the unique and slightly fragile voice of Mikael Erlandsson here, I guess. Robban Bäck (ex SABATON, ex ECLIPSE, W.E.T.) on drums. “Angel’s Gate“ is a really great record. 5. AVALON - Everyman A King +7 (digitally remastered)

AVALON - Everyman A King +7 (digitally remastered)

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

AVALON were quite an enigma. The band not so much exploded onto the scene but escaped via the release of a four track EP issued on the Capitol label in 1982. Although its marketing and promotion was low-key, the record caught the ears of dedicated melodic rock fans. Entitled "Everyman A King", the record is produced by Blood, Sweat & Tears drummer / Pages producer Bobby Colomby, and features the talents of session players Vinnie Colaiuta, Mike Porcaro and Jai Winding, in addition to band members Rick Neigher, Chris Cote and Mike Mirage. Combining the best bits of Styx and 'Runaway' era Dakota, it's archetypal AOR, perhaps in it's purest form. Rock Candy re-issue, digitally remastered, 7 bonus tracks. Learn More
  6. BABYLON A.D. - Babylon A.D. +7 (digitally remastered)

    BABYLON A.D. - Babylon A.D. +7 (digitally remastered)

    €15.00

Ex- SURGIN guy Jack Ponti co-wrote 5 tracks incl. some of the crackers like the the unbeatable opening duo of "Bang Go The Bells" and "Hammer Swings Down". Track #5 "The Kid Goes Wild" (feat. comedian Sam Kinison) became well known as this song got used for the movie "Robocop 2". Overall a cracker of the highest order for fans of FIREHOUSE, WINGER and cohorts. Digitally remastered incl. 7 bonus tracks. Learn More
  7. BABYLON A.D. - Nothing Sacred +3 (digitally remastered)

BABYLON A.D. - Nothing Sacred +3 (digitally remastered)

    €15.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Babylon A.D enjoyed a small success with their selftitled debut (1989) album and they still gained trust from Arista to release this second album in 1992. But after that, they were dropped and disappeared until they made a come back in 1999. Standout tracks here are "Take The Dog Off The Chain", "Psychedelic Sex Reaction", "Dream Train", and the absolute monstrous power ballad, "So Savage The Heart". Even though this albums lacks of originality and offered nothing new, it's definitely a fun cruise of the 90s hard rock which was quite rare back then. Digitally remastered re-issue from Bad Reputation records incl. 3 bonus tracks. Learn More
  8. BANDIT - Partners In Crime (digitally remastered)

BANDIT - Partners In Crime (digitally remastered)

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

UK's Bandit are mostly remembered for their connection to AC/DC, this time being the former band of bassist, Cliff Williams. After Williams departed his prior band, Home, he and vocalist Jim Diamond drafted a few other musicians for their new project, Bandit. Arista Records were quick to show interest and by 1977, their self-titled debut had hit record store shelves. Sales were slow and minimal, prompting a return to the studio in 1978, which yielded "Partners In Crime". Though the debut was bluesy hard rock, this album saw the band evolving toward a softer AOR sound. Again sales were weak and when AC/DC requested Cliff's services in 1979, he quickly bailed and Bandit were finished. Bad Reputation re-issue Learn More
  9. BEAUVOIR, JEAN - Rock Masterpieces Vol.2

BEAUVOIR, JEAN - Rock Masterpieces Vol.2

    €5.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

It’s a fascinating mixture of melodic rock, hard rock or rather pop-like sounds. It’s the perfect introduction to the work of JEAN BEAUVOIR. All tracks of probably one of the last true rock stars out there have been carefully remastered and at times appear in a different light. Learn More
  10. BERGGREN, STEFAN - These Are The Times (digi pack)

BERGGREN, STEFAN - These Are The Times (digi pack)

    €9.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Swedish singer and multi-instrumentalist STEFAN BERGGREN (RAZORBACK, SNAKES IN PARADISE) with a new solo effort. Undoubtedly very much seventies-infused classic rock with a very bluesy and comfortable sound (“Superman“ or “These Are The Times“) and slightly queer but simply rocking (“Burning Burning (Last Band On Earth)“). If you are into acts in the vein of BAD COMPANY, FREE, WHITESNAKE or BACKWOOD SPIRIT, too, then you can’t go wrong here. An album like a travel in time. Learn More
