  1. ALIEN - Into The Future

    ALIEN - Into The Future

    €13.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

ALIEN is back with a new album. The Swedish outfit around Jim Jidhed (v), Tony Borg (g) and Toby Tarrach (d) sound unexpectently heavy and really rock like hell. But at the end of the day, it’s Jidhed’s voice alone that makes AOR freaks smile broadly. Tracks like “Night On Fire“, “Time Is Right“ or “Freedom Wind“ might be classified as classic ALIEN material, even though definitely heavier but the opener “You Still Burn“ definitely surprises even more, like “Really Wheeling It“ does. Really heavy guitars and a contemporary production are nothing but bridging the gap from eighties AOR to hard rock today. Learn More
  2. ANGELICA - All I Am

    ANGELICA - All I Am

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

“All I Am“, second solo effort of THE MURDER OF MY SWEET front woman Angelica Rylin. “All I Am“ is no longer pure AOR, even though “I’m Sorry“ or “Living On High Hopes“ could have easily been on the debut but tracks like “Beat Them All“ or “Calling“ follow a rather modern path without being too far away from the core of the melodic genre. Michael Palace (PALACE) on guitar and without question Rylin offers one hell of a magical voice. Learn More
  3. AOR - The Ghost Of L.A.

AOR - The Ghost Of L.A.

    €15.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Absolutely unbelievable the sheer output of the French Frédéric Slama (g/keys) who is into AOR and WESTCOAST like probably nobody else. The twentieth (!) AOR record again features artists like Paul Sabu (v), Tommy Denander (g) oder Rick Riso (v), too. Markus Nordenberg (COASTLAND RIDE), who rarely participates on projects like this, sings on one track (“Sarah’s Touch“), too. Check out “The Spiral Heart“ and “The Edge Of The World“. Learn More
  4. ART OF ILLUSION - X Marks The Spot

ART OF ILLUSION - X Marks The Spot

    €13.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

ART OF ILLUSION is a collaboration of the two Swedes Anders Rydholm (g/b/keys, GRAND ILLUSION, CODE) and Lars Säfsund (v, WORK OF ART, LIONVILLE, ENBOUND). Perfect stuff for fans of LAST AUTUMN’S DREAM, LIONVILLE, ART NATION and CWF and from WORK OF ART and GRAND ILLUSION foremost, of course. “X Marks The Spot“ definitely is one early highlight of the year. 5. AT THE MOVIES - Movie Hits Of The 80s

AT THE MOVIES - Movie Hits Of The 80s

    €15.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Confined to their homes under quarantine like the rest of us, a bunch of Scandinavian metal and hard rock musicians decided to put their idle time to good use with a new project called AT THE MOVIES, which is devoted to covering music from the iconic films of the 80s. The project was created by renowned Scandinavian producer Chris Laney (Pretty Maids) and drummer Allan Sørensen (Royal Hunt, Pretty Maids) and feature ace singers like Björn Strid (The Night Flight Orchestra) and Ronnie Atkins (Pretty Maids). Their new and powerful versions of 80s classics like "No Easy Way Out", "Maniac", "St. Elmo's Fire", "The Heat Is On" or "Far From Over" is pure fun and the perfect entertainment during this crazy times ! 6. ATLAS - Parallel Love

    ATLAS - Parallel Love

    €13.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Album number two by British melodic rock outfit offering progressive bits and pieces at times, too. “Parallel Love“ deals with various relationships of different kinds, although not being a true concept album. ATLAS offer a reasonable amount of heavy guitars, as well huge keyboards and a singer (Craig Wells) who really rocks and brings a little bit of crispiness into play. Learn More
  7. BIELER, JASON - Songs For The Apocalypse

BIELER, JASON - Songs For The Apocalypse

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

JASON BIELER (v) of SAIGON KICK is a terribly underrated musician. What you get is (surprisingly progressive) hard rock that is extremely powerful in terms of production and that comes with lots of illustrious guests like Todd LaTorre (v, QUEENSRYCHE), Dave Ellefson (b, MEGADETH) or DEVIN TOWNSEND (g). An album to be listened to with headphones on which will definitely reveal new details with every spin. Well done! Learn More
  8. BLACK PAISLEY - Rambler

    BLACK PAISLEY - Rambler

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Formed some six years ago, Sweden's Black Paisley have offered fans two exceptional and well received studio albums, 2017's "Late Bloomer" and 2018's "Perennials", yet with each album having slight personnel shifts. The band's latest and third album, "Rambler", finds Black Paisley Mk III returning to its roots with vocalist Stefan Blomqvist and bass player Jan Emanuelsson reuniting with original drummer Robert Karaszi. What hasn't changed with Black Paisley is their solemn commitment to classic rock, that is, melodic hard rock in a fine AOR wrapper. Like the two previous albums, every song within "Rambler" is spot on, not a single runt in the litter. Easily recommended ! Learn More
  9. BOYS FROM HEAVEN - The Great Discovery

BOYS FROM HEAVEN - The Great Discovery

    €16.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Formed back in 2015, Copenhagen-based Boys From Heaven are a seven-piece group captivated by the sound of the late 70s and early 80s that aims to recapture, in their own words, 'the spirit of the great 80s, captured in the modern studio'. How am I supposed to describe it? It's Westcoast, it's AOR, it has its Jazzy moments and clearly, it is ROCK with capital letters fused with Soul-like moments. It fits Toto supporters's tastes like a glove. However, Boys From Heaven reminded me of obscure greats Airborne amongst others, and their music seemed to me like created between 1979 and 1981, while recorded with a state-of-the-art, yet warm sound production, courtesy of the band themselves. Unique and original, buy it pronto ! Learn More
  10. BROTHER FIRETRIBE - Feel The Burn

BROTHER FIRETRIBE - Feel The Burn

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Finnish AOR giants BROTHER FIRETRIBE are back with album number five. Even though Emppu Vuorinen (g, NIGHTWISH) left, the band around frontman Pekka Ansio Heino is ready to strike. Massive AOR and magnificently well-produced anthems like the recently released single “Rock In The City“ or the extremely melodic “Arianne“ and “Chariot Of Fire“ are Champions League. Their best effort so far and all previous albums have been absolutely superb! Eighties AOR as it should be! Learn More
