  1. SECRET RULE - Against

    SECRET RULE - Against

    €15.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Italian band SECRET RULE have always been delivering good music but “Against“, their fifth album, is not only their best effort so far, but also one that takes no prisoners. Female singer Angela Di Vincenzo knows how to use her „instrument“ pretty well and the songwriting combines melodic and progressive metal with gothic elements for the most part. A pristine but powerful production completes the picture here. Fans of e.g. WITHIN TEMPTATION or THEATER OF TRAGEDY be alerted! Learn More
  2. SEMBLANT - Obscura

    SEMBLANT - Obscura

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Very hard and unusual stuff from Frontiers Records. SEMBLANT can be considered as melodic death outfit and there hasn’t been anything like that from the melodic label based in Naples, Italy. The Brazilians SEMBLANT are very heavy which might not be everyone’s taste. Either you like it or not. Actually not bad in the rather quiet moments with clean (female) vocals but when it comes to the (male) growls it gets…well, nasty. “Obscura“ has got a powerful production, though. Learn More
  3. SEVEN SPIRES - Emerald Seas

    SEVEN SPIRES - Emerald Seas

SEVEN SPIRES, according to their label Frontiers Records, are one of the hopefuls for the future of hard rock and metal. “Emerald Seas“, the sophomore record of the Americans, offers exciting songwriting at times and bits and pieces of different genres such as progressive metal, folk or AOR. Females voice Adrienne Cowan who also fronts SASCHA PAETH’S MASTER OF CEREMONY, has got a stunning voice. Not a record to listen to while ironing but that’s rather positive, isn’t it? Learn More
  4. SHAFT OF STEEL - Steel Heartbeat

They are the better GOTTHARD these days and rock like there is no tomorrow. The Swiss outfit, which reunited with vocalist Mark Fox a few years ago, definitely knows the language of hard rock. Riffs that grab you by the balls, cool hooks and lots of authentic groove. if you are into AC/DC, GOTTHARD, CRYSTAL BALL or KROKUS, you have to love SHAKRA. “A Roll Of The Dice“ with its mighty guitars or the melodic “Thousand Kings“ set the pace here. Fast forward 31 years later and Shark Island has returned with a brand new full length album entitled "Bloodline". 9. STARMEN - Welcome To My World

STARMEN - Welcome To My World

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Starmen plays classic Hard Rock and incorporates AOR, Pop melodies and the occasional modern edge in a mix that is mainly influenced by KISS, Whitesnake and Deep Purple. What has really sparked my interest is how solid the delivery is and how well crafted, vintage and groovy the songs are. High quality stuff from Sweden, don't miss it ! Learn More
  10. STEEL CITY - Mach II

    STEEL CITY - Mach II

    €15.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

US outfit Steel City made some waves with their debut "Fortress" in 2018, but since the release there have been some drastic changes in their camp. First of all they changed record labels from Kivel to Perris records and also their initial singer Bryan Cole has been replaced by Roy Cathey, formerly of COLD SWEAT. Guitarist and bandleader Mike Floros, drummer BJ Zampa (House Of Lords), bass player Jason Cornwell and keyboarder Tony Stahl seems to have found the missing link for their powerful, but catchy slice of classic US hard- and melodic rock. With great songwriting, powerful production and amazing performances Steel City are ready to take the next step. A clear winner for melodic rock lovers ! Learn More
