  1. NESTOR - Kids In A Ghost Town (digi pack)

NESTOR - Kids In A Ghost Town (digi pack)

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

NESTOR from Sweden easily put the album of the years with just their debut. Eighties sound without any compromises including a guest appearance by Samantha Fox (v)! Tracks like “On The Run“, “Tomorrow“ or “1989“ would have been huge hits back in the day for sure. Without question, record of the year - no matter what might come up later this year. An album like a travel in time. And the production is huge… I mean really huge! Learn More
  2. NEWMAN - Into The Monster's Playground

NEWMAN - Into The Monster's Playground

    €13.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Barely any artist is as busy these days releasing albums as Steve Newman from England is. His band NEWMAN has put out thirteen studio records by now. “Into The Monsters’ Playground“ pretty much rocks (“Hurricane Sky“ or “Don’t Come Runnin’“) and manages to showcase both classic rock and epic elements (“This Life Alone“). Typical British AOR to please lovers of the genre with different tempos as well as glimpses of progressive bits and pieces (“Icon“). Once again with a powerful and sophisticated production. Did this guy ever put out an album that wasn’t good at least? Absolutely reliable stuff these NEWMAN records! Great material for fans of HEARTLAND, FM or ATLAS. Learn More
  3. NIGHTFOX - White Cobra

    NIGHTFOX - White Cobra

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Nightfox is a fictional band-project from Trondheim, Norway, created by multi-instrumentalist / songwriter Erik Winther; he performs everything here and let me tell you that ”White Cobra” has a very good sound quality, and even better, there’s great songs sporting that classic melodic hard rock / AOR style. Originally established as a synthwave-project in 2012, Nightfox decided to take a turn towards hard rock around 2017. The sound is mainly inspired by the great hard rock bands from the 1980’s where the focus is kept on roaring riffs, blazing guitar solos, synth splashes and melodious vocals. ”White Cobra” is a very enjoyable trip back to the ’80s and you can hear Winther’s love for the genre paying attention to details. 4. NILSSON, PETER H. - Sign Of Myself

NILSSON, PETER H. - Sign Of Myself

    €13.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Second album of Swedish guitarist and songwriter who after his 2019 debut “Little American Dream“ strikes back with yet another Swedish-American collaboration. Easy-going, mature melodic rock with quite different approaches on the genre. Chris Biano from Nashville, USA again provides fine vocals with lots of emotions. A timeless record which comes with many highlights like „Time To Remember“, “Breathe“ or “Can’t Come Down“. Great mixture of AOR, Westcoast and a little bit of pop music. Well-produced and offering some cool surprises like the horn-section on the title track which is reminiscent of PHIL COLLINS to a certain degree. Learn More
  5. NITRATE - Renegade

    NITRATE - Renegade

    €13.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

NITRATE album number three and this time it’s Alexander Strandell (ART NATION, CROWNE) singing. Like on the first two records, Nottingham/England-based mastermind Nick Hogg (b) manages to deliver a pure AOR record without doubt. This time though, the Martin brothers James and Tom (VEGA) contribute a couple of songs and play on the album, too. Just check out for example the hook-driven “You Think You’Ve Got It“, the brilliantly poppy “Big City Lights“ and the mighty title track. A fantastic album with a deliberate DEF LEPPARD at “Adrenalize“ times touch! Thanks for keeping this style alive and kickin’! Fans of the genre can be more then delighted! Learn More
  6. OLZON, ANETTE - Strong

    OLZON, ANETTE - Strong

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Swedish vocalist (ex NIGHTWISH, THE DARK ELEMENT) with her second solo effort and that is - like the artwork already suggests - pretty heavy and rather dark. Songs written by Magnus Karlsson (g, e.g. PRIMAL FEAR) and mix by Jacob Hansen (e.g. VOLBEAT, PRETTY MAIDS). Not a bad effort but a mix of rather modern and harder sounds and a (deliberate?) hint on her mighty NIGHTWISH past for the most part. Learn More
  7. OSUKARU - Starbound

    OSUKARU - Starbound

    €13.00
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

AOR and melodic rock from Sweden at its best, even if album number six sounds a bit rougher or harder in comparison to the first five efforts. Given the genre, there are quite versatile arrangements and surprise here and there. And frontman Fredrik Werner sounds pretty rough at times which is a cool counterpart to the partly sugar sweet compositions. Definitely check out the mid tempo monster “Somewhere Sometime Somehow“ with a guest appearance by Mark Holden (sax, BOULEVARD) or the fascinating “Joker (In The House Of Cards)“. No fillers whatsoever and production is first class! A really cool record! OSUKARU definitely plays the same league as fellow Swedes TREAT, H.E.A.T. or ART NATION by now. Learn More
  8. PETRA - Back To The Street (digitally remastered)

PETRA - Back To The Street (digitally remastered)

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

This is the first release after the departure of long time lead vocalist Greg X Volz and many fans wondered what would become of their beloved corporate rock heroes. “Back To The Street” (1986) answered the question with a vengeance and remains one of the two best John Schlitt lead projects. After a brief and successful foray into technology driven rock with “Beat the System,” Petra returned to their more Foreigner tinged leanings. The Elefante brothers (John and Dino) debuted at the production helm and the vocal and guitar qualities of earlier releases returned. BTTS contains some Bob Hartman’s finest songwriting. 9. PETRA - Beat The System (digitally remastered)

PETRA - Beat The System (digitally remastered)

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

For one brief moment in time Petra was the biggest thing in Christian Music. Besides having the third best selling album of all time during 1984 the band also performed live in front of nearly 150,000 people, headlining tours featuring bands that just two years previous they were opening up for. At that moment in time lead vocalist Greg X Volz announced his departure. Though dated because of the electronic enhancements and later rebuffed for some technological excesses, the album is actually filled with some of Bob Hartman’s finest songs and easily Volz strongest vocal performances. If one strips down the songs to their bare essentials there are many gems here. Digitally remastered re-issue. Learn More
  10. PETRA - Never Say Die (digitally remastered)

PETRA - Never Say Die (digitally remastered)

    €15.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

After the commercial failure of "Washes Whiter Than" and the departure of Rob Frazier, Bob Hartman considered breaking up the band. However, he met bassist Mark Kelly and keyboardist John Slick and invited them to join the band. "Never Say Die" (1981) represented another departure in style for Petra. The sound in this album is considerably heavier than "Washes Whiter Than", and more rock-oriented than "Come And Join Us". Their sound has been compared to bands like Styx, Kansas, or Foreigner. After a successful tour in 1981, opening for the band Servant, "Never Say Die" became a commercial hit. It was the first Petra album to crack the Billboard Top 40 Inspirational LP's chart. Digitally remastered re-issue. Learn More
