    €16.50
    Incl. VAT, Excl. shipping

Heavy-duty British rock and rollers the Kris Barras Band deliver a career high-water mark on the group’s new album “Death Valley Paradise”. The record is a hard rock gem that directly confronts modern pandemic life in an intelligent, physical, and musical manner. Barras is a top-flight guitarist and vocalist (as well an ex-MMA/cage fighter) and co-writing the new songs with guys like Bob Marlette (Airbourne), Zac Maloy (Shinedown) or Blair Daly (Halestorm, Black Stone Cherry) has improved the quality of the new stuff in a big way. Also touring with Black Stone Cherry was a wise move, cause “Death Alley Paradise” sounds like the British answer to Black Stone Cherry with a good dose of Shinedown and some Southern rock ! The Finnish guitar player (SONATA ARCTICA) with his first ever solo effort. Of course, the 10 songs are more or less in the same vein of what he has done with e.g. THE DARK ELEMENT. An illustrious bunch of vocalists make sure the songs sound great. E.g. Pekka Heino (BROTHER FIRETRIBE), Björn Strid (SOILWORK, THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA) or Anette Olzon (ex-NIGHTWISH) provide vocals, something that is beneficial to the song material which is quite diverse and multi-layered. To cut it short – „Soundtrack Heroes“ is a real treat for fans of 80s rock and 80s action films. NOVA LUNA sound like a hybrid of SYMPHONY X or DREAM THEATER and rather contemporary poppy tunes as well as some eighties hard rock. Sounds strange? Well, it actually sounds pretty good. The Italian outfit centered around vocalist Mattia Martin are exciting and offers many surprises. Rob Beach (g, WHITESNAKE) is guesting among others. In terms of lyrics but sonically, too, a certain love for Japanese culture is xxx. Learn More

Petra left an indelible mark on teenagers all over the world throughout the 80's. Bob Hartman (founder) and Greg X. Volz and band dropped 6 elite albums from 1979-1986. However Petra's „Captured In Time and Space“, which was released in 1986, would be the last for Greg X Volz and the end of an era as John Schlitt would join Petra as new lead vocalist latter that same year. Usually live albums are not favorites among fans, but Petra were on top of their game.
